Dairy Catch-22

I want ice cream. There is none in my house.

It is nice and warm in my apartment... the perfect temperature for enjoying ice cream.

To get ice cream, I must go outside. It is very cold outside. By the time I get home from the store with the ice cream, I will have become too cold to want ice cream.

While I am sure this isn't one of the examples Joseph Heller had in mind, I do believe Yossarian would endorse my thought pattern.

You should buy ice cream and hot cocoa. So when you get home, you have the cocoa to warm you up....then later tonight...ice cream!

It is chilly in my house, so I eat sweet maple-glazed acorn squash with currants instead.

Find someone who delivers ice cream?

In fact, if no one will deliver ice cream, find someone who delivers anything else (beer, pizza, chinese food, whatever) and tell them that you'll add a nice tip if they stop at the store and bring a pint of Ben & Jerry's Karmel Sutra (or whatever flavor you like, I was thinking for myself here) along with the random other delivery.
