Friday praise

I have to say, yesterday until 6:30 PM was just an awful, awful, AWFUL, day.

Work absolutely sucked. I got drawn into an argument with a coworker in which I lost my temper, and my coworker subsequently quit. At the same time projects were flying left and right, and I began to lose direction under piles of paper.

Stuff with my family is hard, as my father, now having been in a variety of hospitals and a nursing home for three months without spending a night at home, was just given another month long stay at a nursing home. Having to shoulder that burden like Atlas is a hard thing.

So, yeah, yesterday was teh suck. But in times of adversity like that, I am prompted to be thankful for two of the most amazing women in my life, lolitasir and dahling.

lolitasir took me to a wonderful pre-theatre dinner at Indochine, followed by birthday present tickets to see the Blue Man Group. Third row center poncho seats. SO MUCH FUN!!! My sister is amazing... it was exactly what I needed after such a day. We laughed and grooved and laughed and grooved. They're amazing.

And then, what can be better than walking into my home to see dahling waiting for me? Step after step I take with her has just been wonderful. Happy. Yay.

BMG
The real surprise is that a group that's been around for 20 or so years with apparent cast replacements *and* regional vaiations has been able to sustain their energy. I should look up just how long they've been around, I remember seeing them here in Boston in the late 80s.

Re: BMG
Yeah, I saw them about 20 years ago here in NYC in a really small theater and it was only $5. They're a bit more polished now but some of their antics are the same.

We saw BMG a couple of weeks ago with several of the West Coast Familiars and enjoyed them thoroughly.

Good to hear your bad day got better.
