Quick update

My, how time flies. So, this will be a catch-up post, with hopefully some deeper stuff to come later this week.

My dad is finally home! YAY!!!!! Granted, he's in a hospital bed in the living room, but it still counts as home!

My apartment is getting cleaner. It hasn't been for quite some time.

My fish... oh, my fish. Last week was the week of death. I went out and bought new fish, only to come home and find 2 dead in the big tank. The next day, 2 more, plus 1 of the new fish. The next morning, all of the new fish and 2 more of the old. All dead. I figured out the problem, but yikes!

Oh, and in the other tank? One of my fish is slowly eating the new fish in there. 2 out of 4 have now served as a late night snack. I'd love to rescue the other 2, but they're even more guaranteed to get eaten in the other tank.

My house is like watching the Discovery Channel.

I'm teaching at TES on Tuesday - Electricity-Shockingly Affordable! I am very nervous about this class - it's the first time I am ever teaching it. If you are coming, be nice.

This coming weekend I go to the Boston Fetish Flea. Woo-hoo!

I plan on writing part 2 of an old post this week. It needs to be written.

Has my skeleton key shown up yet in the housecleaning? Obviously, I'm not in need of it right now, but I'm pretty sure I dropped it there and am still concerned that it not get lost forever. If it hasn't, I'll check with my dad where I stayed next.

Hasn't turned up yet. But, we have more work to do, so there is still a chance. Sorry that we're keeping your key hostage... maybe.

So what was the problem with the fish?

I was using a chemical to help control my algae - bad idea. I think it spiked my ammonia and nitrite levels, thus killing everyone off.

I am glad to hear about your dad. That is good news.

Oh the horror of your apartment... *shudders and runs away in terror*

(also, hooray for the good stuff!)

Yay for your dad!

Sorry about your fish. :(

Please find the Marauders table at the Flea and say hello to me, at the very least. ;)

Oh, I will. Say, does the Marauders want some NYC exposure by donating an item to Leather Pride Night? (this is what I'll be saying to every vendor at the Flea this weekend.)

At the least, I can donate a Pig of the Run deck or two. I can check to see if we want to donate something else, too.

I (we) would love that!!!

Can't wait to see you. It's been far too long.

Yes, Sir, it has.

Do you know about the men's party Saturday night?

Glad to hear things are better with your dad ... I've done more than a couple of parents-in-the hospital stints in the past few years & I can imagine how relieved you are.

And .... see you at the Flea!!!

I'm glad to hear your Dad is home amidst his loved ones. It's so hard when you become the parent to your parent.

You'll do fine teaching. You know this subject. My trick is to speak more slowly than I usually would, and to repeat questions from the audience. Wish I could be there but I have a regular Tuesday conflict.

I am SO excited to hear about your Dad going home!! It will be so good for his heart of hearts, as well as for your Mom.

You know...you could ask to take the hospital bed out for a spin. Well, maybe in a few weeks...

It's good that your dad is able to come home. It will be more comfortable for him, i am sure.

Sad to read about your fishies.

Someone say electricity? *smiling

D'oh! I'm so sorry to have missed the announcement for the electricity class. Will you be doing another one at TES soon?
