Disfunctional to the very end

I just don't believe it.

My aunt isn't coming to the funeral.

She couldn't come to terms with my grandmother being off of life support - she couldn't bear the thought of losing her. But now that she has passed on, my aunt claims she made her piece when she saw my grandmother alive.

I just don't believe it.

I hate feeling like one of the only adults in my family.

There are people who will never be able to face the reality of death - it scares them too much and they will avoid it at all cost.

Let your aunt's issue be her issue. You will have enough to deal with.

my condolences are extended to you and your family. Strength and positive energy are sent your way as well.

Yes, you have enough to deal with, and I'm sure you will deal with it well.

You have a lot of good energy being sent your way to help you ...

As for your aunt ... well, at some point, she may very well have regrets. She is making her own "adult" decision, and will have to deal with the consequences.

people are their own punishments.

Don't let it get to you... all you should be concerned with is putting yourself to ease and those that surround you that want your help in the grieving process... you can expend a lot of energy in the way of being annoyed with fucked-up people, but it really just is not worth it... those people aren't worth it.

Peace to you, yours, and your grandmother.
