2005 - what a year

We are only 2 weeks into 2005 and I say already with deep sincerity that this is shaping up to be an interesting year.

If the pace of the last 3 weeks keeps up, I am going to need some serious tranquilizers, because it's getting pretty intense.

And not a bad intense either. Different. Multiple storylines presenting themselves, all of them representing mini Choose Your Own Adventure books.

If Phil decides to kiss this girl, turn to page 83.
If he decides to stand back and watch the steamroller creep closer, turn to page 128.

10 years is a long time. A third of my entire life. My mind is a whirl of images, thoughts, memories, voices, emotions.

People. Faces. Loved ones, both near and far. Storylines of my life... paths taken and not. Uncertain futures, and blissful pasts. And a man standing in the eye of the storm, calmly appreciating the chaos that swirls around him.

I wasn't able to get to sleep last night until after 3 in the morning, primarily because I couldn't get my brain to sit still.

I think it's time to start interviewing ghost writers for a book. My life would make a great piece of fiction.

Visiting Amber

I have told the story before about how my black rose tattoo was inspired by the character Corwin out of Zelanzy's Chronicles of Amber series.

I think I am truly slipping into his boots now. The man who stands in between the Unicorn of Amber, and the Dark Princes of Chaos.

Time to for a re-read, methinks.
