So, the Dresden Dolls concert rocked. Yep yep, definetely kicked ass. One of the greatest discoveries of the evening was their opening band, Humanwine. Now, they get points just for having such an excellent name. But then add in an absolutely adorable front singer with hardcore facial and neck ink (see the images on the website), and then the fact the music kicks fucking ass.

Pre-war German sound mixed in with gothy rock mixed in with a little burlesque flavor. Add in a slide-trumpet, and I am totally sold.

They gave out free CDs with 2 songs and a link to download a third. ITunes also had another of their EPs for sale, so that was promptly purchased. But... but... I have only 6 songs! Must have more! MUST!

They are playing in Brooklyn in May. If I am around that weekend, I am so dragging everyone to that show.

Trying to finalize a 120-class schedule will be the death of me. I hate last minute cancellations - neccessary, sure, but arg.

Hi, my name is Phil, it's Tuesday, and I'm stressed. Woo!

I know what you are dealing with, I was a convention planner in Los Angeles for years. Of course I was paid for my work, lol. Can't imagine doing it in my off time though, not that I had any - I pretty much lived at the hotels.
