Climbing back up on the horse.

Hey everyone. Long time no speak!

Internet access is back up at home. Yay! The damn thing went down on Thursday. After trying unsuccessfully to fix it myself, even going as far as replacing the cable modem, I finally collapsed and called Time Warner to schedule an appointment. As lolitasir reported, the appointment was scheduled for today.

And wouldn't you know it? I wake up to find my internet working once again, hours before the scheduled technition visit. Murphy, my one and true boyfriend. Bastard.

I owe e-mails to a lot of people, and they're coming soon, I promise. Work has been such that I couldn't spare the time to write them from here.

In the case of the interdimensionally traveling fish - I went and bought another one. I figured, maybe, just maybe, the new fish would bring the other fish out some more. Nope. I just had TWO dissapearing beautiful fish. To make matters more confusing, I called the fish shop to try to figure out just what I bought. They gave me the name - botia salwensis, telling me that the fish is VERY rare. It must be, since I can't find anything about them ANYWHERE online, not even loaches.com.

Strangely enough, the first fish came out last night under the lights to play. A rare visit, and I hope that he will make more appearances, maybe even with his new bunkmate. That would be nice.

Life has been grand and swell and I have been experiencing all kinds of goodness. Had a wonderful outing with friends at PS 1 where we paid special tribute to naylandblake's piece there. Had company that night which laid ground to beautiful and wonderful firsts for a very special couple who I cherish. I am happy my home can be host to such happiness.

Had an out of town visitor in the likeness of dahling for the past few days. A wonderful visit, and hopefully more will be in store.

I hesitate to say this, because when I do I usually get burned, but I have to say... I am loving life right now. Absolutely loving it.

Interdimensional Travelling Fish Research Findings...
Perhaps your fish travels interdiminsionally because it is Tibetan. The Salween River (where it comes from) runs through Tibet. Interdiminsional time/space translocation is well-documented in ancient Tibetan texts and is accepted as fact in the Terma tradition of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Perhaps your fish is a reincarnated Nyingma Terma monk....
On a less woo note, the Salween River has sone of the deepest fissures on Earth and is known as the "Grand Canyon of China". Lots of deep dark hiding places. Loach spieces from this River may have a genetic tendency to seek out nooks and crannies and be really really good at hiding...

This will demonstrate just how very boring a particular part of my life was, but we used to sit in front of the tank for hours, playing "Find the cooly loach." LOL!

So glad things are going well!

I hope I'm able to meet this disappearing fish some day... I am a fan of interdenominational travel, and since fish as a general rule creep me out or scare me, I like that it safely goes away.

Oh, I'm officially broken. I was out with my boy and my man the other day girl watching, and I pointed out a particularly hot girl's feet (and sandals) before I even processed she had a great chest. I think that I'll blame you. *Thank you*
