Newly obsessed with the color blue.

This is the greatest music video ever. The Blue Man Group with Venus Hum doing performing Donna Summer entitled "I Feel Love."

Now... it is such a happy song. Someone please explain to me why everytime I listen to it today or watch a video/performance of it today* I start crying? I mean, tears and all?

Given that it is causing me to cry every single time, why do I insist on listening to/watching it again? And again?

Why am I crying?

* I have listened to/watched this song a frightening amount of times today considering I have also been at work all day.

Re: Hiya Phil
Yeah, in the video they show images from the live performance where she wears that.

Youtube has the live performance in its entirety. It's incredible.

Re: Hiya Phil
yes I have seen that video, it is a great cover of that song. Shows how that song was very instrumental in helping to kick off the techno/industrial dance genre.

Maybe you are crying because you are so happily in love with dahling?

I need a glittering disco icon, I think.

Yikes has liked the video for a while now, but doesn't really like how big a mess the Blue Men make. The only possibly redeeming factor, according to her, is that they do seem to do a good job cleaning it up afterwards.

Me, I just love the whole thing.
I have a whole Venus Hum album somewhere around here, too... (along with both BMG albums)

Maybe you keep watching it, because you want to cry?

I have a song like that, that I listen to when I just need to get the bad stuff OUT. It's my bawling song. Very therapeutic.

Yeah, I used to use Exit Music by Radiohead for that, but I eventually got immune. I don't know what I would use now.

Several years ago, Todd and I saw Blue Man Group with Venus Hum here in Denver. They performed "I Feel Love" and it was amazing. I loved the dress!

When I saw them in Vegas in August 2005....it was okay....but no Venus Hum.

The chick in the video, the way she interacts with them, reminds me of the Japanese girls who would come to BMG down on Astor place when Random and I worked there, who would deliver love letters to the Blue Men. Not the *actors*, mind you, but the characters. They all wanted to be "Blue Man Brides"!
