I'm sweaty and it's good.

Today was like totally full of the awesome. Seriously.

dahling and I went out with Bikemeat (tm), rented another bike for her to ride, and then we rode all through Central Park. We started at West 96th, and did a full circle around the park. We went really fast in some places, and it was all kinds of rock.

Then, after a lovely Chinese lunch, we proceeded down Riverside Park past the Boat Basin at 79th Street, and found out that just south of there are kayaks that we could ride for FREE. Like, no money. A lovely little operation where they let you take a (not dry) kayak out into the Hudson for 20 minutes. It was my first time in a kayak, and was much, much fun. After I got over the fact that I can't really swim. dahling convinced me I wouldn't have to, and she was right.

Only downside? We got really, really, really wet.

Next time, bathing suit and towels. But yeah, today has rocked.

Time to jump (that is, step gingerly so I don't fall) into the shower!

I love kayaking, but I tend to flip my boat enough (sometimes for fun, sometimes for not paying attention) that I'm not sure I'd want to do it in the Hudson. :)

Nathan and I went biking too. :)

Next time wear biking shorts/jersey, those tend to dry pretty quickly :)

Sounds like a great day! I haven't done those free kayaks in years - thanks for reminding me that they exist.

Totally kewl! Do they have tandems? If so, Sabrina and I will go, we visit the city often enough. The paddling sounds like fun too. Plus, it's fun to say... paddling paddling paddling !
