lthr_wolf? If so, can you please ask him/her to not use a doctored version of my boot pic as their LJ icon?

What? Just because the one looks exactly like the other after converting to grayscale doesn't mean they're the same... ;)

If you look at

lthr_wolf's profile while signed into LJ, it should bold all the people you have in common on your friends list.

Barring that, you could leave a comment on the guy's one visible posting.

Thank you very much. It is most appreciated.

Normally, I wouldn't bother with such a trivial matter, but this was a special photo taken by a friend. I was rather shocked to find the copyright removed from the photo.

If you can pass along to your friend that the photo is privately owned, I would again thank you.
