Hot times, summer in the city...

It is 61 degrees in Manhattan today. I feel this shouldn't go unmentioned.

I only wish that daylight extended a few hours beyond when I can leave work, so I can enjoy it by laying out in a park.

With this resurgent warm weather, one would thing the exalted sandal season would come back out for a day. But no, not one barefoot in sandals or other foot-bearing shoes all day long.

I am very disappointed in New Yorkers today and their choices for footwear. I feel they have fallen down on their responsibility to the city's foot fetishists. Tsk tsk tsk.

You should own a sandal shop.

"Phil's Pheet"

I'd have to hire someone to handle all the feet I wouldn't want to go near.

An assistant!! Perfect!

You know, this isn't the worst thought in the world. And I don't think there is a shop solely (ha!) dedicated to sandals. It might be niche enough to work.

It really might. Formal sandals, casual sandals, sandal boots, sneaker sandals, sheepskin sandals....

Finding a pair of sandals you really love is amazingly difficult. I think it would go over well as long as you had all of the odd sizes (very large/small/narrow/wide).

Small! Yes!

Do you know how impossible it is to find a nice pair of strappy sandals in size 4? Try "impossible". :(

You could let someone rent space from you to give mini pedicures!

it was 65 here yesterday! And I've been wearing sandals as much as possible! My toes like to be freeeeeeeee.

They're not sandals, but I was wearing clogs with bare feet when I went out today. And then no shoes at all (god the ground is cold. I forgot that. TWICE. Brr. Cold feet.)

I wore sandals yesterday night.

61 is not sandal weather. 61 is still winter.

We, on the other hand, got up to 72 yesterday I think. I got to take my coat off! Woot!

If it gets that warm again I'll wear sandals in your honor.

Even though the weather was warm here too, I was quite happy with
peoples choice of footwear. Ahh winter or as I like to think of it
boot season.

I was wondering if I may wear some of my delicious heels for your viewing pleasure one of these days?
Jan. 10th, 2008 09:17 pm (UTC)
You would be better off losing the heels and just going bare if you really want to get my attention.
Jan. 10th, 2008 09:39 pm (UTC)
mmm... interesting...

Shoes are nothing but an obstacle. Except for their ability to protect what I want, and to make them nice and sweaty.

Other associations when I learned of your preference of bear < grin > feet...

Barefoot and pregnant

Unfortunately I dislike dirty looking feet and generally when people wear no shoes around it means that they will need to be cleaned profusely. But I have a preferance for well manicured soft and interestingly shaped feet. Also I don't really prefer shoes but do prefer clean socks to pad around the house in. Generally the reasoning for this is to keep my house quiet. No stomping around or clicking and clacking or damaging my 100 year old wood floors more than they are already.

As long as you are discussing feet.
You were referenced this weekend to me in a number of different ways.

1) With some comments on the vulnerability of feet.

2) As a demonstrator.

3) As a unit of measure. ("A boymeat hit.")

Thought you might appreciate that last one.
