Hump-day post.

So this past weekend was the Flea. I had a good weekend - a little more laid back and casual than previous years, but perhaps that was needed. The overwhelming highlight was lots and lots of quality time with my slave, kinkmogul. We had both clearly set out on making this a weekend for us, without ever actually expressing that sentiment to each other. Lots of service, laughs, snuggles, kisses, and talk. It was a good centering weekend for us, especially having not seen each other in so long.

Also nice were meal-times with lolitasir and Don Quixote. I felt like we made a concerted effort to regroup in the evening each day to enjoy each others refreshing company. Meal time is quality time, too.

The other highlight for me was my classes. Over 100 people in my Electricity class! Over 70 people in Surviving Corporal, and that was in the 1st class period on Sunday! They really went well, and it was a lot of fun having kinkmogul, bostontim, desiringsubject, and quem98 assist. Thank you all.

This coming weekend, I'll be on the road again, this time southward to Mid-Atlantic Leather. bostontim and I will be hanging all weekend, and most probably trying to cause a ruckus in the lobby. If you're gonna be there, let me know! I have no real plans, and am totally up for social activities.

My keynote speech from Rio Grande Leather has been published in the Leather Archives & Museum's Leather Times! It is such an honor to see my words printed there - I have goosebumps. Oh, katestine and high4tower, they put the flier for TNG3 in the article!!!

I enjoyed your Surviving Corporal class very much. I was the one in the front row who cringed and sank with every crack of your signal whip :-)

Yes 4 for 4. What's odd is, first I am a switch, and second, I went up to the bullwhip lounge and learned to throw a bullwhip. Very effectively, I might add. I didn't want to leave! The sound of the whips in those rooms excited me and I enjoyed having others watch me throw. When I saw you use one on a person it made me feel really, really uneasy.

As I said in my e-mail, the Electricity class was great. Thanks for pointing me to the cattle prod you used!

Glad you had a good time! I'm definitely starting down a road of thought about events being whatever we want to make them - busy and chaotic, or quiet and relaxing. I'm glad you got what you needed with your slave and friends.

I miss you. Hope to see you soon.

I am probably not coming up to MAL this weekend, but if you'd like to catch up over coffee or food at some point, drop me a line, or call me - I think you still have my number.
